Can you imagine one super-tanker? And if you can,
what about super-super-tanker, the largest one in the world? That
is Knock nevis, previously known as Jahre Viking and Seawise Giant.
This vessel has a deadweight of 565,000 metric tons and summer displacement
of 647,955 metric tons. The length of the Knock nevis is 458 meters
and the beam is 69 meters. When the ship is fully loaded its draft
reaches 26.4 meters. With these measurements Knock Nevis is not
so profitable vessel, and that is the main reason to be used as
an immobile platform in Qatar. But Knock Nevis will stay in our
